'Mom is still angry at him': 22 years separated parents reunite for daughter's wedding, awkward moments ensue

Sometimes there is no telling what will happen after a significant relationship ends, especially if you have kids together. I have friends whose moms and dads broke up and then refused to be in the same room ever again, and friends whose parents have not shared a bed in decades, but will happily spend the holidays together.

There is no denying that when children are involved, it's in everyone's best interests to keep things civil. That doesn't mean that it isn't difficult, though, as one recent bride was amused to point out after both her long-separated parents attended her wedding. It was clear that they were trying their best, although some viewers couldn't help but share their own horror stories of similar reunions at their own social events that may not have gone as planned. One thing's for sure, your kids will only appreciate you making the effort if you don't start too much drama.
